Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Gallery (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The Site

The Gallery is a static, client-side web page that lets you select photographs from your own Google Photos account and display them as a framed museum–style wall in your browser. We do not operate a server, database, or user-account system.

2. Your use of the Site

You are permitted to use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Site in a manner prohibited by law;
• use the Site to violate any applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the availability or security of the Site.

3. Your content

The photographs you select remain in your Google Photos account. We do not store, copy, or republish them on any server. The selection you make is stored only in your browser’s localStorage on your device. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to the photographs you choose to display.

4. Google services

The Site uses the Google Photos Picker API to let you select photos. Your use of Google accounts and services is governed by Google’s own terms and policies, which we do not control.

5. Intellectual property

The Site design, text, and branding are provided under applicable open-source licensing terms shown in the project. All other rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of the Site shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Site.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of the Site from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective date.”

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place of residence of the Site operator, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
